Terms of Service

1. The service
Sunwrit compiles building permits, code-enforcement violations, and related property information from public government records and presents them with search, scoring, and export tools. The data is provided for informational and lead-generation purposes only. It is not legal advice, a consumer report as defined by the FCRA, or a substitute for official records.
2. Public-records data
All records originate from government sources. Sunwrit does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any record; the issuing jurisdiction remains the authoritative source. Records may be corrected or removed on request via our correction form.
3. Your outreach is your responsibility
If you contact property owners, contractors, or anyone else using data obtained through Sunwrit, you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws — including CAN-SPAM, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, federal and state Do-Not-Call rules, state telemarketing statutes, and licensing regulations for your trade. Sunwrit provides data, not permission to contact.
4. Accounts and subscriptions
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period. Seats on Team plans are for named individuals within one organization. API keys and exports may not be resold or redistributed as a dataset.
5. Acceptable use
No scraping of Sunwrit itself, no rate-limit evasion, no use of the data to harass, threaten, or discriminate, and no representation of Sunwrit data as an official government record.
6. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sunwrit disclaims all warranties and limits its aggregate liability to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
